Happy Halloween

This year was Zoë's second Halloween and I think the most fun. She went trick or treating at the Bentonville Square. We hit all the stores that were on the map but two stores. We went with my cousin and her son. We had so much fun!!!! Then after that Zoë and I rushed home to party!!!! J/K we just had a couple friends over to eat and watch TV. This year I bought a lot of candy because I ran out so quick last year. But only 3 houses on our block were handing out candy, what a bummer. So the kids that came by got a lot of candy from my house. This year I was shocked to see nice Halloween costumes, last year there was a ton of bloody kidos, this year they all looked so sweet.
Here are some pics of Zoë and I.

Softball Game

I played softball with the guys. Yesterday was a just for fun game, IBC softball team vs. IBC staff. I was on the IBC softball team, I was the catcher. It was so much fun. I hit the ball 3 or 4 times and got to base once, it would have been twice but I stopped running when the pitcher caught the ball but he caught is on a bounce, but I thought he caught it with no bounce. Oh well. I'm new at this game. But we won, it was like 20 to 4 or something. After the game we stayed at the field for 2 more hours. After that we went to Bob and Sandy's house for dinner with the Griffith Family, I got out of the car and looked at my in the widow and saw how red my face was, you can she where my sunglasses were. Zoë played with Joey and Tracey's kidos. While we where there she decides to fall of the couch and bump her head on the coffee table. When we got home we felt her head and she had the biggest knot the side of her head. We felt so bad.

Here is a picture of my leg,

I got hit twice, right above the rid spot there is a bruise.
I was hoping for a nice bruise, but once again I was disappointed

Girl Talk Wednesday
 The question this week is:
When you die, what is the one thing you want people to say about you?

1. She was a great mom, a loving wife, and she loved the Lord.
2. Wow, she went out with a bang. :)  (Lord willing that I go out when I'm old and doing something on my crazy bucket list.)

Softball.

So, last Wednesday Jonathan was helping me break in my new glove buy playing catch. We were in the church parking lot after Wednesday night servers. Jonathan told me to go long, so I did I was on the other side if the parking lot. The first two times he was short and it bounced and came at me low, so I caught it. The third time it was still short but this time instead of coming in low it cam in high, so when is bounced I was slightly bent and it bounced off ground then off my collar bone right into my jaw. I was wishing for sweet bruise but all I have are two small bruises one on my collar bone and one on my jaw. bummer.
My New Softball Stuff: Jonathan got me the glove for my birthday, his Aunt and Uncle gave me the cleats for my birthday (thanks Auntie and Uncle) and I had the batting gloves already.

I have to have my pink in my softball things.  All I need now........

OH, and I need to find a team to play on. LOL!!!!

Girl Talk Wednesday

OK, the five things that makes me feel good about myself.
  1. Getting my hair cut and colored (it's been over a year but I love it)
  2. Wearing make-up
  3. Fitting into the pre-pregnancy clothes (I'm not there but I will be)
  4. Wearing a cute dress with my "man killer shoes"(that's what Jonathan calls my stilettos.)
  5. Getting flowers from my husband. (it's a rare thing but I love it)
  6. Getting a good run. It makes me feel so good when I reach my goal.
Sorry I had  to get that last one in there.

Birthday

So yesterday was my birthday. Everyone was asking me what I was going to do. Umm..... It's just another day, I cleaned. And while I was cleaning I was talking to my friend Brittany on facebook. When Jonathan got home we went to dinner at Shogun. It was fun. Zoë liked it, well she didn't like the fire but she loved everything else.

OK, Jonathan and I saw Iron Man when it first came out. Well, he saw it we took Zoë with us and she was not having the loud noise. So I saw maybe 20 mins. of it and then Zoë and I walked around the movie theater until it was over. To make my point now, we bought Iron Man and I got to watch it all, and I LOVED IT. I didn't get to see the Dark Knight so don't get mad at me when I say that Iron Man is now my favorite super hero.
It's now.....
Iron Man
Batman
Superman
Spiderman

When we first got there we had to half a mile away. Crazy!!! There were people everywhere. After we left the park we went to a outlet mall and bought Zoë, Jonathan, and the dogs some stuff at the Little Big Dog outlet. Then we drove home. Today my parents took us to lunch, it was so good. So that was my weekend. I'll post some pictures with this post soon.

A little better

OK, I did my work out. I ran 1.5 miles. I couldn't finish my run because Zoë was tired and she was ready to come home. I think I would have made it to 2 miles maybe more. I'm going to run again tomorrow. I hope I can run longer.

GRRRRR

Ok, so I posted that I was going to start running to get back into shape. Well so far I run/walked one mile. How lazy is that? I should have done at least 4 miles by now. One day wasn't my fault but still, I'm just too lazy. I don't know how other moms do it, their homes are clean, they cook every meal for their family, and on top of that they go to the gym and they are skinny. I guess I'm just way to lazy. GRRRR..........

Zoë is getting so big.

Zoë is getting so big.  She (in my mind) is so smart. We got her a book that teaches colors, numbers, and has pictures things ( the pink page has pigs, shoes, etc.) But the first day so could point out at least 4 things on each page, some things she had never seen before. I would tell her 2 to 3 times what it was and then she would pick them out. OH!!!! She love the M&M's commercial for the dark chocolate, the Adam's Family one. Every time it comes on she runs to the TV and raises her little arms up and tries to snap her fingers. So about two weeks ago I got her and I some M&M's and I gave to bag to her and when we left the gas station I was holding her and she was bouncing. I was looking at the car and I was thinking what is she doing?? Then I looked at her and he had one arm up trying to snap he figures and humming a little bit of the tune. I was laughing my head off. It was too cute. So she loves to watch Little Einstein's. She will go around the house or at the store, going pat, pat, pat, and she pats her lap and raises her arms up and tries to say blast off. She is such a ham. She knows what to do to get her way with her grandparents. And she has her daddy wrapped around her little finger. I can't believe that Zoë is getting so big.

running

I hate being fat. I don't know why but its so hard to eat healthy all the time. Why dose the junk food taste sooo good? I'm going to start eating healthier, and I'm going to start running. I want to run a full 5k or a 10k. I hope that posting this it will help me to get my act together.

Medical Update

OK, so for the passed few weeks we have been keeping the Mercy Health Centers in business. First Jonathan's leg, then my toe, then Zoë's cold thanks to allergies, and now back to Jonathan. The infection that was in his leg lives in he noes. So now he has a red spot under his nose. So the Doctor gave in some more antibiotics so they can kick this thing in the butt. The one medication that can get rid of it he is allergic to, he get a rash all over his belly and his back. So he talk to the doctor today and Jonathan told him that he is willing to take the meds. so he can get rid of it quicker. So he's going on it for 5 days then some other stuff for 5 days, and then some different stuff and........ you get it. I pray that this will work, if not he is going to have to have surgery on his leg to take out what ever is in there. I pray that the antibiotics will work. So that is our medical update for now.

Oh how I love allergies

Ever since I moved to Arkansas (10 years ago) I have had my allergies acted up. So before we had Zoë I was the first one to get sick but now that she is here, she is the first. We think that she us allergic to cats. My friends cat just had kittens and she was playing with them. And now she has a runny and stuffy nose (anyone who has had one knows how fun that is). I can tell that she has a sore throat, I can hear it when she talks or cries. The think is that since she is a red head and both of her parents have allergies, she has no hope to not have the same allergies as we do. It really stinks. Jonathan keeps tell me when she gets old enough we are going to take her to see Dr. Hedburg our allergist. That means she will get shots every week for 2 years maybe longer, and that means I have to. I do not like shots. I try to avoid them as much as possible. Oh how I love allergies.

Silver Dollar City

Yesterday we went to Silver Dollar City. We were meeting Jonathan's Aunt and Uncle there. They got there with his sister about 11 a.m. and we didn't get there until 3 because we had to go to church. We had a blast. Zoë went on her first ride it. She had fun. We also went on the train, she did not like the whistle she would jump and then start crying. It was really sad. Anyhow we only had two hours to do stuff. Needless to say we are going to go again real soon.

Stupid door.

Warning this is kind of gross.... well really gross.
Yesterday, I went to the store and got home and had had to go a quick clean before my cousin dropped off her boy so I could watch him so she could go to Doctor. I put brownie out side and she wanted in but she didn't go to the bathroom. So, I had to the toss the trash into the garbage can out side. So I open the door and try to keep Brownie outside and Zoë inside, I tossed out the trash and closed the door and the door catches my toe nail and rips it off but the bottom of it is jammed into cuticle. At that point I was in so much pain I was about to toss my cookies and pass out. So I called Jonathan to come home and help me with my toe. He got home and he didn't want to cut or pull my nail off. So I had to call my Doctor to have him do it. I was giving the lady my information and she asked  what the appointment was for, so I told her. She said, ouch and put me on hold. She came back and said that he had a opening at 2:20. I told her OK. after I hung up I though 2:20!!!! It's 12:20 right now. So I sat in glider in the living room and put my foot up on the XBox, Jonathan didn't want me to bleed on it. I didn't care. So he went back to work and Zoë and I were watching the Olympics and she fell asleep. Before I knew it, it was 2:00 and Jonathan was home to pick me up. When we got there they got me in right away and as we where walking to the room all the nurses where asking Jonathan if he was OK. We just laughed and said it was me this time. The NPA that saw Jonathan came in to look at his leg and asked why we were there, then she saw my toe and told us that she was glad that Dr. Garrett was doing it because when she was in school she had to do that and she passed out. The Doctor came in and told me my options. He could give my a shot of pain stuff or just pull it. I told him to give me the pain shot. Then he told me that he would have to give me three shots and they would all hurt and burn. After thinking about it and asking him if it was going to hurt as bad as it did when it go ripped off, he told me no, so I told him just to pull it. So Jonathan took Zoë to the waiting room and as the Doctor was closing the door he asked me if I had any words come out of my mouth. I said surprisingly no. It was the last thing on my mind. After a few laughs the nurse helped me lay down. And asked him to wait just a second so I could wrap my head around what he was about to do. So I gave him the OK. He said OK I'm going to grab it. I felt a little pain and then I said was that it?  He said yep. I thought the pain was him just gabbing it. So we laughed some more. Then the nurse had to dress it, that was most painful part of the doctor visit.  So when we left I was hopping down the hall way and the other nurse saw me and she got me a wheel chair. We paid and left. My foot still hurts and I can't wait until it stops.

While dada is away the girls will.....

Jonathan went on a business trip with the boss (aka Jonathan's dad). They went to Pennsylvania to help a customer. They left on Sunday and came back today. So while they were gone, Mom (Jonathan's mom) Zoë and I went to Target on Monday and we got new dishes, towels, and other things for my house. We also got fabric and patterens to make Zoë and I dresses. Don't worry they are not going match. I also painted our front door and a wall and hung up a picture that Dad (Jonathan's dad) gave me.

So, while dada is away the girl will make and fix things.

Snaps for doctors

I want to go see the new Mercy Hospital but I didn't expect to see the ER. Jonathan got hit by a softball the end of May, no big thing, he had a bump and a nice sized bruise but it went away. Last Wednesday he told me it started to hurt so he made appointment to see our Doctor. That afternoon his leg swelled up, got really red and hot, and he was running a fever of 103. So that night we went to the ER because Jonathan could barely walk on it. So they checked him in, took some blood and then gave him a IV with some antibiotics. When the doctor came in he said that Jonathan had cellulitis (it's a infection of the deep subcutaneous tissue if the skin.) So after the IV was done they drew on Jonathan's leg and told us it the redness goes past the line to go see our doctor right away or go back to the ER and that we needed to see our doctor the next day for a check up. So we had to see his Nurse Practitioner, because our Doctor was on vacation, she looked at his leg and gave him more meds. After that it looked like his leg was getting better until 5 p.m. he started to get his fever back and the redness went over the line. So I called Jonathan's parents to come over and they took him back to the ER and the Doctor there gave him more antibiotics and then sent him home and told us to see the Nurse Practitioner again, so we did and she got another doctor in there and he thought it was not cellulitis it was a blood clot from the softball hitting his leg so we had to get a ultra sound and a doppler on his leg. They didn't find a blood clot but they did find fluid. So, we had to wait until Monday to find out what the infection was. So Jonathan gets a call from the N.P and he has MRSA (it's a type of Staph strain, it's resistant to antibiotics.) So August 12th he has another appointment to see our Doctor and ask questions about the MRSA infection. Oh, first they thought it was a bug bite that started this whole thing and it wasn't the softball. And  now they think it was because of the softball. So that was our fun trip to the ER and the Doctors office.

Lazy

OK, so I  just opened the post that I planed to post two months ago so here it is and I'm going to add more to it:
I haven't posted anything in a while because I either forget a
bout it or I'm just to lazy to do it. We have passed one big
milestone, Zoë's first birthday. We had a lot of fun, she had two parties. One with Jonathan's family and one with my family. She loved her cakes.
Ok so, fast forward 2 months, Zoë is growing so fast, she is walking better than ever, she trying to talk, her favorite word is dada, she loves to play with our dogs and point out other dogs or other creatures. She is LOVES babies, when she sees a baby or a car seat she points and wants to go look at the baby.

For the fourth of July we went to Dallas/Fort Worth to see Sam, Brittany, Ethan, and maybe Titus and also to shop. When we got to Dallas I was driving and I saw a long thin brown string flying in the air in front of us I drove thru it and it got stuck to my car it was a the tape thats in a cassette tape. I don't know if it was really funny or I was very tired, but I laughed my head off the whole time it was on my car. It was like my car had a rat tail. It had to be two cars long and no one wanted to drive behind me. When we got to Ron and Tina's house Brittany was having contractions and I was really excited, I wanted to see Titus before we had to leave, but the contractions went away, and we stayed the night at there house, (I loved it by the way brittany).

Then the next morning we went to the Fort Worth Zoo, we had  a
blast (thanks brit for letting us know which Zoo to go to) Zoë loved it, the first thing we saw were the monkeys, she was making the monkey sound the whole time we where looking at them, then when she saw the elephants she made the elephant n
oise it was so cute. She pointed at every animal she saw. We were at the Zoo for 4 or 5 hours, it was freaking hot be we loved being there.
After the Zoo we drove up to Frisco to meet up with Jonathan's family, we watched the fireworks in our hotel room. The next day we went shopping at Ikea for Zoe's big girl room. And the day we came back Brittany had Titus.

The day after we came I put Zoë's bed together. She loves it. Then that same week I painted her room and hung up the other stuff we got. It looks so cute.

Take me out to the ball field......

Last night was Zoë's first baseball game. We went to see the Arkansas Naturals play. We had so much fun. Zoë just sat there and watched the team play, waved at the players and also the people sitting around us, pointed at everything, and danced to the music (well the rap music, LOL).

Ok, on another note, on Friday it was rainy and I was getting the groserys out of the car and I slipped and fell in the garage and landed elbow. It was a fall right out of  a cartoon, it hurt so bad!! At first I thought that I broke it, it's nice and burised. In all my years of skating I have never fallen on my elbow.

Race day baby!!!!

Last Saturday was the Race for the Cure. It was a long day, the night before the race Jonathan and I had to go over to Tulsa to get Zoë's new car seat. So we got home at 12:30 and I ended up going to bed about a hour later. Then I had to get up at 5 to get ready for the race, and then meet my friend Gina at 6:30 at a gas station, then we drove down to Springdale to the Arvest Ballpark. (the ballpark is nice.) Then when we got down there we walked around for about 10 minutes and then they told up to get in the line to start the race, but they didn't let us start until 8:30. The whole time I was getting ready for the race and at the race Jonathan watched Zoë. That was the longest Jonathan has ever watched her. We had fun and got some free stuff. Sweet!!! I was kinda bummed out the we didn't run the whole thing, but we did good walking it, I think. After we left the race we ate breakfast with my in-laws, we had a lot of fun. Zoë had her first pancake, she loved it. So by the time I got home I was so tired, I was like a Zombie. We all planned on taking a nap but Zoë didn't want to, so I didn't get to take a nap. I was a total Zombie Lady. It was kinda funny.
