Medical Update
OK, so for the passed few weeks we have been keeping the Mercy Health Centers in business. First Jonathan's leg, then my toe, then Zoë's cold thanks to allergies, and now back to Jonathan. The infection that was in his leg lives in he noes. So now he has a red spot under his nose. So the Doctor gave in some more antibiotics so they can kick this thing in the butt. The one medication that can get rid of it he is allergic to, he get a rash all over his belly and his back. So he talk to the doctor today and Jonathan told him that he is willing to take the meds. so he can get rid of it quicker. So he's going on it for 5 days then some other stuff for 5 days, and then some different stuff and........ you get it. I pray that this will work, if not he is going to have to have surgery on his leg to take out what ever is in there. I pray that the antibiotics will work. So that is our medical update for now.

Oh how I love allergies
Ever since I moved to Arkansas (10 years ago) I have had my allergies acted up. So before we had Zoë I was the first one to get sick but now that she is here, she is the first. We think that she us allergic to cats. My friends cat just had kittens and she was playing with them. And now she has a runny and stuffy nose (anyone who has had one knows how fun that is). I can tell that she has a sore throat, I can hear it when she talks or cries. The think is that since she is a red head and both of her parents have allergies, she has no hope to not have the same allergies as we do. It really stinks. Jonathan keeps tell me when she gets old enough we are going to take her to see Dr. Hedburg our allergist. That means she will get shots every week for 2 years maybe longer, and that means I have to. I do not like shots. I try to avoid them as much as possible. Oh how I love allergies.

Silver Dollar City
Yesterday we went to Silver Dollar City. We were meeting Jonathan's Aunt and Uncle there. They got there with his sister about 11 a.m. and we didn't get there until 3 because we had to go to church. We had a blast. Zoë went on her first ride it. She had fun. We also went on the train, she did not like the whistle she would jump and then start crying. It was really sad. Anyhow we only had two hours to do stuff. Needless to say we are going to go again real soon.

Stupid door.
Warning this is kind of gross.... well really gross.
Yesterday, I went to the store and got home and had had to go a quick clean before my cousin dropped off her boy so I could watch him so she could go to Doctor. I put brownie out side and she wanted in but she didn't go to the bathroom. So, I had to the toss the trash into the garbage can out side. So I open the door and try to keep Brownie outside and Zoë inside, I tossed out the trash and closed the door and the door catches my toe nail and rips it off but the bottom of it is jammed into cuticle. At that point I was in so much pain I was about to toss my cookies and pass out. So I called Jonathan to come home and help me with my toe. He got home and he didn't want to cut or pull my nail off. So I had to call my Doctor to have him do it. I was giving the lady my information and she asked what the appointment was for, so I told her. She said, ouch and put me on hold. She came back and said that he had a opening at 2:20. I told her OK. after I hung up I though 2:20!!!! It's 12:20 right now. So I sat in glider in the living room and put my foot up on the XBox, Jonathan didn't want me to bleed on it. I didn't care. So he went back to work and Zoë and I were watching the Olympics and she fell asleep. Before I knew it, it was 2:00 and Jonathan was home to pick me up. When we got there they got me in right away and as we where walking to the room all the nurses where asking Jonathan if he was OK. We just laughed and said it was me this time. The NPA that saw Jonathan came in to look at his leg and asked why we were there, then she saw my toe and told us that she was glad that Dr. Garrett was doing it because when she was in school she had to do that and she passed out. The Doctor came in and told me my options. He could give my a shot of pain stuff or just pull it. I told him to give me the pain shot. Then he told me that he would have to give me three shots and they would all hurt and burn. After thinking about it and asking him if it was going to hurt as bad as it did when it go ripped off, he told me no, so I told him just to pull it. So Jonathan took Zoë to the waiting room and as the Doctor was closing the door he asked me if I had any words come out of my mouth. I said surprisingly no. It was the last thing on my mind. After a few laughs the nurse helped me lay down. And asked him to wait just a second so I could wrap my head around what he was about to do. So I gave him the OK. He said OK I'm going to grab it. I felt a little pain and then I said was that it? He said yep. I thought the pain was him just gabbing it. So we laughed some more. Then the nurse had to dress it, that was most painful part of the doctor visit. So when we left I was hopping down the hall way and the other nurse saw me and she got me a wheel chair. We paid and left. My foot still hurts and I can't wait until it stops. Stupid Door

While dada is away the girls will.....
Jonathan went on a business trip with the boss (aka Jonathan's dad). They went to Pennsylvania to help a customer. They left on Sunday and came back today. So while they were gone, Mom (Jonathan's mom) Zoë and I went to Target on Monday and we got new dishes, towels, and other things for my house. We also got fabric and patterens to make Zoë and I dresses. Don't worry they are not going match. I also painted our front door and a wall and hung up a picture that Dad (Jonathan's dad) gave me.
So, while dada is away the girl will make and fix things.

Snaps for doctors
I want to go see the new Mercy Hospital but I didn't expect to see the ER. Jonathan got hit by a softball the end of May, no big thing, he had a bump and a nice sized bruise but it went away. Last Wednesday he told me it started to hurt so he made appointment to see our Doctor. That afternoon his leg swelled up, got really red and hot, and he was running a fever of 103. So that night we went to the ER because Jonathan could barely walk on it. So they checked him in, took some blood and then gave him a IV with some antibiotics. When the doctor came in he said that Jonathan had cellulitis (it's a infection of the deep subcutaneous tissue if the skin.) So after the IV was done they drew on Jonathan's leg and told us it the redness goes past the line to go see our doctor right away or go back to the ER and that we needed to see our doctor the next day for a check up. So we had to see his Nurse Practitioner, because our Doctor was on vacation, she looked at his leg and gave him more meds. After that it looked like his leg was getting better until 5 p.m. he started to get his fever back and the redness went over the line. So I called Jonathan's parents to come over and they took him back to the ER and the Doctor there gave him more antibiotics and then sent him home and told us to see the Nurse Practitioner again, so we did and she got another doctor in there and he thought it was not cellulitis it was a blood clot from the softball hitting his leg so we had to get a ultra sound and a doppler on his leg. They didn't find a blood clot but they did find fluid. So, we had to wait until Monday to find out what the infection was. So Jonathan gets a call from the N.P and he has MRSA (it's a type of Staph strain, it's resistant to antibiotics.) So August 12th he has another appointment to see our Doctor and ask questions about the MRSA infection. Oh, first they thought it was a bug bite that started this whole thing and it wasn't the softball. And now they think it was because of the softball. So that was our fun trip to the ER and the Doctors office.
Snaps for Doctors and Nurse Practitioner.
Here is a picture of Jonathan's leg the 2nd to the ER
